In RDO, a random can join you without being your friend as long as you appear online.no friend invite needed. The only thing GTAO does better is it would not allow a random to join on you if you are appearing online. Then you can literally select a person who has you blocked and join on them directly. GTAO is far worse.you only have to friend a person in your crew. Now, if you play with friends who are not taking their privacy seriously such as not blocking rando friend invites not appearing offline. The only way around it would have to be in your posse. On xbox joining an offline player is impossible. I've blocked plenty of people but they still appear in my sessions. I've even raised a ticket about it but they say it's how they designed it. They do honour it in GTA but they don't in Red Dead.
They don't even honour your offline status and friends can still join on you if you're hiding offline. You do realise blocking a player will not help you in the game, don't you? This is one of my biggest gripes.
